About Femmina International Film Festival

The Femmina International Filmfestival (FIFF) will be held for the sixth time 29th October – 1st November 2009, featuring films by women film directors. FIFF sets out to highlight excellence in film made by women.

It is an intimate festival, and an important meeting place for film makers and lovers of film.
FIFF takes place in Verdal in North-Trøndelag. Here you can see feature films and shorts (max 60 min) in two sections:
International Panorama – with specially selected short films from around the world, and New Nordic Shorts – sent in by individual film makers, and completed after august 2008. This year International Panorama will focus on animated films – experimantal and full of fun. In addition there will be feature films from around the world - throughout all four days of the festival. Several prizes will be awarded to films selected by an appointed jury.

This years’ seminar program will focus on the lack of women with key positions in Norwegian film – and also roles for women in films. This year the seminars will be held at Stiklestad National Centre of Culture – we look forward to using this as an arena. Again this year you can see film out of doors – a great success last year. Unforgettable! Good film is best seen on a big screen.

Welcome to Verdal – one hour by train from Trondheim Airport Værnes!
